@buddhism066: This is from the Lotus Sutra (妙法莲华经), Chapter 2 "Expedient Means" (方便品). 🌸 "If someone makes music with drums, conches, horns, flutes, lutes, harps, guitars, and copper drums—with all these wonderful sounds, they wholeheartedly make offerings. Or if, with a happy heart, they praise the Buddha's virtues in song and chant—with even just one small sound, they have realized the path to Buddhahood. One must remember to never force this sound on others if they do not accept it. “ The Buddha is teaching that even the smallest offering made with a joyful heart plants the seed for enlightenment. You do not need to be a scholar or a monk. You do not need to make a grand gesture. If you play music as an offering, or if you simply sing a single note of praise with a happy heart, you are walking the path to Buddhahood. The key is the intention and the joy. This is one of the most beautiful and inclusive teachings in the Lotus Sutra. Amitofo 🙏 #foryoupage #fyp #buddhism #buddha #viral
