The MacBook would beat that Windows surface on gaming. The OS just does not support the MacBook has the hardware for example if he were to run Minecraft with heavy shaders on both computer computers, the MacBook would have much better frame rate and performance

Mac is still ahead of Windows in almost every category… the only downside is office products and gaming. Performance and battery way ahead. Design and build quality way ahead. Performance für video / music edit is on top. Even the fact that macs run without power supply on max performance while windows devices struggle the time you plug them off is insane. Another benefit is standby time… i don‘t have to turn my mac down for 1-2 months while a windows device is shutdown after a day on idle usage.

I don’t need the gaming ability, so for me it’s about longevity. Now granted I’ve never purchased an expensive windows laptop, I’m just basing it off of the ones my job gives me, but I’ve worked for my company for 15 years and i’m on my fourth laptop. I’ve used MacBooks for personal use for the past 15 years and I’m only on my second one.
