@gracielafloresx: A failed epidural is more painful than I ever imagined. I was in labor for 19 hours, pushed for 15 minutes, and had no tearing, which honestly made the pushing part pretty quick! Can I say it was the hardest thing in my life? No. Can I say it wasn’t worth it? Absolutely not. My baby was born at 37 weeks, so he definitely surprised me and caught me off guard. I had my whole birth plan planned out and knew immediately I wanted an epidural because getting one or going without one doesn’t make you any stronger or better than the other. Looking back, I wish I had educated myself more about epidurals and learned how to work through contractions because when it was time to push, I felt EVERYTHING. I literally felt him trying to push his way out, and one thing I will never forget is the ring of fire. Of course, I expected pain because I was literally giving birth, but I wasn’t prepared for the anxiety attacks, crying, screaming, and moments when I genuinely wanted to give up. The only thing that helped me find the strength to keep pushing was hearing, “You need to stop crying. Your baby’s heart rate is slowing down.” In that moment, I knew I had to find the strength to keep going. So, if you’re about to give birth, get the epidural or don’t. Do whatever feels right for YOU. Just know that getting one doesn’t make you weak, and going without one doesn’t make you superior. Every birth is different, and every mom deserves respect. A couple of minutes of pain for a lifetime of happiness. My baby was worth every second. And if anyone gets offended Hence why I said a PLANNED natural birth. There is a difference between choosing to go into labor without an epidural and planning to get one only for it to fail. I am speaking on MY experience, not yours, and nobody is going to tell me how I should feel about it. #fypシ゚viral #makemefamous #birth #epidural #firsttimemom

Happened back in February with my first. The contractions were killing me so after 15 minutes, I asked for the epidural, failed the first time, they tried again and failed a second time. Took them over 30 minutes to try both times. By the time I laid back down, I was fully dilated and baby came out on his own. Will never, ever get the epidural again. My back is not the same
