These stone archways are part of the historic gardens at Spring Mill State Park. The stone garden wall and arched entrance were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) during the 1930s as part of the park’s restoration and landscaping. The gardens reflect the plants used by early settlers for food, medicine, and decoration. Today, the rustic stonework and surrounding greenery create a beautiful entrance that blends history with nature. Photographed at Spring Mill State Park #nature #photography #indiana #Hiking
