Allah ﷻ says: وَإِنَّكَ لَعَلَىٰ خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٍ “Indeed, you are upon an عظیم character.” — Surah Al-Qalam 68:4 When Aisha رضي الله عنها was asked about the character of Rasulullah ﷺ, she gave one of the most profound descriptions of him: كَانَ خُلُقُهُ الْقُرْآنَ “His character was the Qur’an.” The Prophet ﷺ did not merely teach the Qur’an — he lived it. His mercy, patience, humility, forgiveness, honesty, generosity, courage, and treatment of people were a reflection of the guidance of the Qur’an. If you want to understand what the Qur’an teaches us about good character, then study the life of Rasulullah ﷺ. Read the Seerah. Learn how he ﷺ treated his family, his companions, his neighbors, the poor, those who opposed him, and even those who wronged him. The Qur’an was not simply words that he ﷺ recited. It was guidance that he ﷺ embodied. May Allah ﷻ grant us the ability to follow the character of His beloved Messenger ﷺ and make the Qur’an a living part of our lives.
