@mina_wallropeyoga: The pose I keep coming back to after a long desk day Your shoulders aren't tight because you need to stretch harder. They're tight because they've been holding tension all day. This supported Yin pose is one of my favorite ways to unwind after hours at a desk. I keep coming back to it because it reminds me that the body doesn't always need more effort — it usually just needs more support. Try it: Place two yoga blocks lengthwise, about shoulder-width apart Lower onto your belly from hands and knees Bring your palms together and let your chest soften toward the floor Rest your forehead between your upper arms, or on a blanket if that feels better Adjust the blocks until the sensation feels supportive, not intense Stay 3–5 minutes and let gravity do the work. What I notice while I'm here: ✨ The chest gradually opens ✨ The shoulders melt away from the ears ✨ The breath slows down ✨ The neck and upper back start to release ⚠️ You should never feel sharp pain, pinching, numbness, or tingling. If you have an acute shoulder injury or flare-up, skip this one and check with a healthcare professional first. Save this for the next time your shoulders feel permanently attached to your ears 🤍 #yinyoga #shouldertension #roundedshoulders #deskjob #posture
