@mothershipsg: The executive director of Singapore GP Pte Ltd, Adam Firth, said today (Oct. 9) that there are currently no plans to modify entertainment activities, contrary to press reports. The Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), which governs motorsports, said yesterday that outdoor activities, such as entertainment, might face "some restrictions" if the haze worsens. Firth said Singapore Grand Prix is closely monitoring all weather conditions as part of standard event planning and operations. He added that any changes will be communicated through official channels in a timely manner. Meanwhile, the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) told CNA that it has in place different contingency plans for different air quality levels. "In the event that haze causes visibility, public health or operational issues, the relevant agencies will work closely with SGP to assess the situation before making any collective decisions regarding the event," said STB. This year’s lineup comprises several international stars including Zara Larsson, Lana Del Rey, Goo Goo Dolls and The Killers, as well as local acts such as rock outfit Pleasantry.
