🌳Pour one out for the oak tree, I guess. Really wish they would've kept the tree, created an actual third space for the community, and maybe... I don't know... cultivated some kindness while they were at it. But hey, who needs shade, character, or a little greenery when you can have 🚗parking lot 🚗 Personally, I think the new build is giving... crusty, dusty, and aggressively vacant. It feels like a lot of concrete and empty space where there could've been something that actually made the area feel inviting. I'll never understand why we keep designing buildings around nature instead of designing with it. Trees add character, shade, beauty, and make spaces feel alive. But apparently the oak tree had other plans for the quarterly revenue projections. There was SO much potential here to create something beautiful, incorporate the existing landscape, preserve the tree, add seating, and actually give the community a place to exist beyond the sacred act of purchasing a $7 beverage. Instead, we got: 🌳Nature: DENIED 🪑In Third space: DENIED ✨Character: DENIED 🚗Cars: WELCOME HOME BABY Maybe I'm being dramatic. Maybe I'm just mourning a tree. What do y'all think? Was taking down the tree worth it for this build, or could they have designed around it? 00 #helotes #helotestexas #7brew #oaktree #saveourearth
