I am a small business owner, unfortunately if businesses continue to make payments with their credit cards it only hurts the taxpayers, the ato aren’t paying the surcharge we the taxpayers are.

I have a small business and have never paid my tax via credit card. I don’t understand the issue. I gross about $200k pa, don’t pass on surcharges and still making a profit with an emergency cash buffer. I think some small businesses cut it too fine, don’t adapt or plan for contingencies.

The government is paying it for the ATO but ultimately it’s taxation money paying for it.

this is where the government should tax the Visa and Mastercard fo the surcharges. and if they dont like it shut them down and give the banks the power to use the electronic systems

Make a policy that says the ATO ( aka the taxpayer) are exempt from surcharges. Banks can’t charge us.

This shouldn’t be the focus, they should ban the banks from charging the fees

Workers should also stay home as a form of strike, reason?? I can’t afford to drive to work due to the cost of fuel, car insurance, regos, fines & tolls.

This is because they know that they stuffed up and thought that, Labor would have a better run to the next election 🗳️, it’s good people / businesses have spoken up, but now is the time to add, more pressure, so Labor fix this mess once and for all

There will be a huge increase in businesses paying BAS for the rest of the FY. I’m definitely going to enjoy doing it!
