@the.nd.safe.space: One of the hardest parts of limerence can be the shame. Because how do you explain that one person can occupy so much space in your head, even when part of you knows the intensity doesn’t make sense? Limerence can involve intrusive thinking, idealisation, craving reciprocation and huge emotional reactions to tiny amounts of attention or rejection. And although “limerence” itself isn’t currently a standalone mental health diagnosis, that doesn’t mean the experience or distress isn’t real. Talking about it matters. Especially when so many people have been silently asking themselves: “Why can’t I just stop thinking about them?” You’re not the only one. 🧠☁️ #ADHD #neurodivergent #MentalHealth #limerance #foryoupage
