@mothershipsg: The working paper by American non-profit organisation National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) claimed to have found a pattern of mid-level Singapore civil servants purchasing homes near yet-to-be announced MRT stations. However the Public Service Division (PSD) clarified, “Statistical patterns do not by themselves establish whether any individual officer actually had access to non-public information on MRT station locations at the relevant time, or whether such information influenced a property purchase.” In the review, PSD examined available records, including the officer’s role at the time, whether the officer had access to relevant non-public information, the timing and circumstances of the transaction, and other relevant information. #mothershipparliament #mothershiporiginals
