VACCUM SEALED BAGS 💼 these are honestly life changers!!! especially because I know I will be bringing a ton of items back, vaccum sealing my clothes will create a ton of extra space in my luggage! I got mine off Amazon and it came with a ton of different sizes - let me know if you want the link! 2. PASSPORT! ✈️ while this is already a given to even fly… this is great if you are planning on shopping! foreign travelers are entitled to claim Japan’s 10% consumption tax from many of your purchases! 3. COMFORTABLE WALKING SHOES 👟 you NEED TO HAVE THIS! you are walking 20k+ steps EVERY DAY - if you aren’t, then you aren’t exploring Japan the correct way 😅 go for comfort over fashion, and don’t wear new shoes!! 4. CASH 💴 many people think you can get away with just credit cards in Japan, but NO THAT IS NOT THE CASE! if you don’t want to exchange back home, I’d recommend withdrawing from an ATM at any 7-eleven in JAPAN! 5. SUICA CARD 🚊 download the suica card into your Apple Wallet (for iphone users) so that you have that handy once you arrive to Japan! you can load up money EASILY and it’s honestly the most convenient thing ever! 6.
