@michael.suka8: Nestled in the Guan District of Ghana’s Oti Region lies Likpe Bakua, a community steeped in rich history, serene mountain views, and cultural pride. Historically forming the Benkum (Left Wing) division of the broader Likpe (Bakpɛle) traditional area, Bakua shares a deep bond with the surrounding settlements that make up this unique part of the country. What Makes the Likpe Area Special: Rich Ancestral History: The name "Likpe" comes from Kpe li lawo ("stone sharpeners"), referring to how the ancestors prepared for defense during historical migrations. Gateway to Adventure: The Likpe area is famous for the Six Ancestral Caves carved into the limestone cliffs, sweeping mountain vistas, and nearby natural wonders like Wadjakli Waterfalls. Culture & Unity: The Bakpɛle people celebrate the Lekoryi Festival ("coming together"), a vibrant display of traditional music, Agbadza dance, and community spirit. Whether you're exploring the historic highlands or experiencing the warmth of the local community, Likpe Bakua is a true hidden gem waiting to be discovered. 📍 Location: Guan District, Oti Region, Ghana 🇬🇭 Experience authentic culture, peaceful surroundings, and rich Ghanaian heritage!
