as someone who is trained and certified in CPR and had to do this on my own child I can say the bruise I left on her back was gone in less than a week as compared to the emptiness I would have felt forever had I not done it.

That’s pretty much exactly what they train us to do in CPR training it doesn’t feel good to do that to the training dolls but they told us when it comes to the heart or airways leaving a bruise or cracking some ribs should be the least of our concern

when you're trained (at least when I was as a preschool teacher) we are told that you're SUPPOSED to hit harder and that a bruised baby is better than a dead baby. It looks rough but I promise that's unfortunately as hard as you're supposed to do it😭

Yeah, I would just walk out after saving the baby and refuse to see them upon request. I’ll just let them fester in their aggression and regret.
