I actually like it a ton. I have over 700 hours pre-update and about 200 hours post update and I think it's fine. When I go up to the next tier I take my previous tiered items and upgrade them. I don't spend my newest gear there, but why would you?

and especially since its a 4,95% chance to even get the item to max lvl 10. means we need 20 normal max weapons to get a guaranteed lvl 10. its way to much farm

Eh. I just save scum it. The idols are rather rare to come by especially for later biomes. It’s just a way to be able to use earlier weapons and armor. They honestly should just remove the rng and make it an upgrade. Increase the cost of each consecutive upgrade

When my friend and I found it, we destroyed the first thing we tried and never touched it again. I used it just one time when I had excess eitr. I made 10 Dead Raisers and had the shrine delete them until I had 1 Dead Raiser at level 7. I could now have 7 skeletons.

imo the worst part is you have to get lucky and find it in mountains. it should just be at spawn or build able. what use is upgrading early game shit if it's irrelevant by the time you can upgrade it

I take this as a way to keep old weapons up-to-date for further stages, I was lucky enough to upgrade my silver sword up to 6 and carried me well up to mistlands, didn't need to make the black metal sword

Valheim was fun but by no means is perfect lol. Like there’s a lot to hate about it, but I’d play it multiple times 😅. Maybe there will be some mods in the future that just perfect the game
