Hello, Once Human development team!
I am writing to share detailed feedback regarding the current endgame progression, specifically focusing on the Mod acquisition system. While I thoroughly enjoy the core gameplay, world-building, and seasonal updates, the process of farming high-tier Mods has become an incredibly frustrating and discouraging experience.
Currently, the layers of RNG (random number generation) involved in getting a viable Mod for a specific build are overwhelming. First, players must drop the correct core Mod. Second, it needs to have the right prefix. Third, the four sub-stats must align with the build's requirements. Finally, upgrading the Mod rolls into random attributes, which often ruins an otherwise decent item.
Spending hours, or even days, repeatedly clearing the same Securement Silos and Monolith Bosses only to receive useless stats feels heavily unrewarding. This issue is severely magnified by the limited availability of Controllers. Since we need Controllers to get maximum rewards, wasting these scarce resources on completely useless Mod drops makes players feel like their time and effort are being disrespected. It leads to rapid burnout, and many active players are losing the motivation to log in.
Please consider implementing some quality-of-life solutions in upcoming patches:
Increase the baseline drop rates for legendary Mods in hard/master difficulties.
Introduce a pity or target-farming system where we can prioritize specific stats.
Allow us to reroll or recalibrate at least one sub-stat using in-game resources.
Provide more consistent ways to earn Controllers during the endgame phases.
Thank you for your hard work and dedication to the community. I hope to see some balance adjustments soon!
