Here’s example: I pay into insurance 100,000$ from 5 years of being healthy. I finally get sick or hurt and need insurance. They dish out 20,000$ and say “have a nice day.” Insurance is a scam!

My son needed a heart transplant. I had insurance, the hospital he was at was in network. The insurance denied the transplant because even though the hospital was in network it wasn’t in network for a heart transplant. The hospital wanted him to be in a different hospital but they didn’t do pediatric heart transplant, and they were the ones who sent him to a different hospital. So the hospital the insurance was willing to pay sent us to a different hospital because they didn’t do transplant on kids, but the insurance didn’t want to approve it because they wanted us at a hospital who already denied and sent us to the appropriate doctors and location. That’s the healthcare system in the US

this movie taught me that PPO insurance was better than HMO when I was a child as an adult I learned it the hard way. Always get private insurance to go with your crappy work insurance if they have an HMO
