this scene always kinda confuses me. if the remains are not for viewing, how would he actually be able to verify that the body is who it say it is? shouldn’t he be at least visually confirmed it first? like are we just trusting the label? i’ve always imagine it’d be really awkward if the parent decided to open the casket and be like “this isn’t my boy” assuming they can still somehow recognized the body.
