This is going to be a long read but well 🤣….. I think people are misunderstanding what he means. I don’t think he’s saying you should put your ego aside to tolerate disrespect or stay with someone who keeps hurting you. I think he’s talking about situations where YOU are the one who has hurt your partner, and instead of taking accountability, apologising sincerely, showing remorse and making an effort to do better, your pride won’t let you. Sometimes, your partner isn’t asking you to be perfect. They just want you to acknowledge that you hurt them and show that you care enough to make things right. But when you’re too busy defending yourself, justifying your actions or trying to win an argument, you fail to realise that you’re slowly pushing away someone who genuinely loves you.
