Some thoughts & a day in the life at the rv park I never got around to posting until now💌 This might be surprising but I actually struggle with anxiety & it pretty much consumed me for the better part of my life. I grew up in a home where if you made a mistake there were severe consequences and your character was brought into question. Im from a cattle ranching family back in Texas and if my sister and I made a mistake it wasn’t just “you didn’t feed the right pasture, that’s okay, just go back and feed the right pasture now that you know.” It was “You fed the wrong pasture on purpose because you’re evil or careless & that’s just who you are” (yes, fully aware I grew up in a very abusive home lol😅) So, for much of my life I was terrified to make a mistake- because it meant I was less of a human. Safe to say I have done a lot of interpersonal work to deconstruct that belief system BUT, one of the most powerful things I did to outgrow that belief and finally beat anxiety was to actually let myself mess up and make a joke out of it. So, yes, these videos are just silly little videos but they’re also my interpersonal work on full display and it’s incredibly freeing to not only not fear messing up but being so okay with messing up that I’ll happily post all my screw ups on the big old internet hahaha. & honestly? I think our world needs to see MORE mess ups, I’m so over the perfectly curated lives we see on these apps. Life is messy, fully of mistakes, joys, sorrows, triumphs and losses. So that’s why my page will always reflect💛 #Vlog #remodel #renovation #renovationproject #DIY
