Oh god I remember this documentary… isn’t she the one who was being abused by the parents and she was trying to take care of the younger kids in the home (She was like 14 or 15 I think) and set the fire so she could escape but when she opened the window to get the kids out, the sudden rush of oxygen basically combusted the home?

She was a child escaping abuse, and gets such a harsh penalty, but her abusers (outside of her actions) and abusers in the same situations as her get to go on hurting kids or adults for years and never see a cell. The Justice System isnt actually for criminals......

I worked as an officer at a female prison in Minnesota and heard some stories that had the same level of misintent just trying to survive and they were also there for life. We took very good care of those people and did everything we could to keep them happy and comfortable.
