Whilst yes the rule of women and children did prevail it should be noted that class was more the deciding factor. The survival of 1st class women was nearly 100% with only four women dying, yet the survival of 3rd class women was only 46% with 100 women of the 165 perishing.

Your logic is completely wrong. There were around 1,800 men and 450 women on the Titanic. 359 women and 358 men were rescued. They followed the rule of one man one woman. Stop talking nonsense.

Think this is less likely to happen nowadays and that’s good. Men and women should be treated equally and their lives valued equally. I wouldn’t let someone go before me based on their gender. However, if they were ahead of me in the queue, I would 100% honour that. Because that would be wrong to queue jump.
