evening_rotation :
It was a fine horror movie but I feel like they didn’t hit on what they promised in the trailer. They dropped the ball. They had so much potential to really mess with your head and they just didn’t do that for me

Almost because it’s basic and all the jumpscares are predictable. We’ve been getting good original idea horror movies this year , it was bound to flop when it’s just a basic copy of every other big budget horror movie 🤷🏻♀️

it’s alr doing better in the box office. Audience ratings are better. And it had a ton of pre sales.

Let me guess. People went into this expecting a live action horror version of coraline and didn’t bother trying to understand what its actually based on: incidents around the house

This is so disappointing because the novel it was based on was actually pretty good 😞

20% from rotten tomatoes don't mean anything...I'm not saying it's a good movie cuz I never seen it however, Backrooms was at 90% by rotten tomatoes and that was the dumbest movie I have ever waisted my time on.

Could have been executed so well, I can see it becoming a “camp” movie in a couple of years but still not good

personally, when I see a movie with a lot of jumpscares, it’s like they know it’s not a great movie and they’re overcompensating 😭😭

Let this be an example of how only using jumpscares for horror is a bad idea😭

Naw, I believe it because no early reviews were allowed to come out because of how bad it was. The ending needs work. The production company is always 50/50.
