The more I grow, the more I realize that becoming who you’re meant to be often requires letting go of who you thought you were supposed to be. 🤍 This past year has been one of the most transformative years of my life. And not because everything suddenly fell into place, but because I started learning how to find peace even when things weren’t going according to plan. I’ve had to let go of people I thought would be in my life forever. I’ve had to question beliefs I’ve carried for years, unlearn patterns that no longer serve me, and get comfortable with uncertainty. I’ve had to accept that the version of me who wanted certain things a year ago might not be the same version of me who wants them today. And that’s okay. I’ve spent so much of my life chasing the next thing. The next accomplishment, the next relationship, the next chapter, the next version of myself. Always believing that once I got there, I’d finally feel fulfilled. But I’m learning that life isn’t something that starts when everything falls into place. It’s happening right now. In the quiet mornings when I sit with myself in meditation. In the discipline of showing up for myself even when I don’t feel like it. In the moments when I choose peace over reacting, trust over fear, and gratitude over focusing on what’s missing. And sometimes, growth looks completely contradictory. You can be healing and still get triggered. You can forgive someone and still feel angry about what happened. You can love your independence and still crave companionship. You can be incredibly grateful for your life and still want more for yourself. You can be proud of how far you’ve come and still have days when you feel lost. None of those things cancel each other out. I used to think healing meant reaching some permanent state of happiness, where nothing could disturb my peace. Now I think it’s about learning to experience the full spectrum of being human without letting any one emotion define who I am. And perhaps the biggest lesson has been understanding that transformation doesn’t always happen in these huge, life-changing moments. Sometimes it happens through the smallest, most repetitive choices. Waking up and meditating. Moving my body. Keeping promises to myself. Choosing healthier relationships. Setting boundaries. Learning to trust my intuition. Showing up again and again, even when I can’t see the results yet. It’s not always glamorous. It’s not always exciting. But slowly, those little choices become a completely different life. I’m still figuring things out. I’m still changing my mind. I’m still learning what alignment feels like for me, and accepting that what was right for an older version of myself might not be right for the person I’m becoming. And for the first time, I don’t feel like I need to have it all figured out. I can be a work in progress and still be whole. I can have dreams for my future and still be deeply in love with my present. Maybe finding yourself isn’t about becoming someone entirely new. Maybe it’s about shedding everything that was never really you, until you’re finally free to be who you’ve always been. ✨ Here’s to embracing the contradictions, trusting the timing, and allowing ourselves to evolve as many times as we need to. You are allowed to outgrow the life you once prayed for. And you are allowed to love the life you have while creating something even more beautiful. 🤍 #HealingJourney #PersonalGrowth #SelfDiscovery #MindfulLiving #dailymotivation
