@little_edwardian_semi: 🩷 DIY BENCH SEAT 🩷 I used an old Ikea Kallax and turned it into a bench seat 👏 Here’s what I used: 🩷 An old Ikea Kallax unit. I cut it down to fit my space, but you may not have to! You can also buy 3 shelf Mixxit units from B&Q 🩷 Sanded and painted the unit in Valspar Premium Furniture paint in the colour Lovers Secret 🩷 Added Kallax insert shelves (£9 each from Ikea) and painted them in Valspar Pink Panache 🩷 Measured the top of the unit and bought 5mm plywood from B&Q. You get 3 cuts for free so they cut it to the size I needed 🙌 🩷 Ordered made to measure firm foam wrapped in Polyfibre from eFoam, 9cm thick 🩷 Used heavy duty adhesive spray to attach the plywood to the foam. 🩷 Covered with velvet fabric from Boho1325 Sadler Collection 🩷 Stapled to the plywood. This was much easier than I was expecting! 🩷 Added to the bench! You could add velcro strips to hold it in place, I haven’t needed to. I’m really pleased with how this turned out!
