my husband lost his first wife years ago, he lost all their pictures. I was able to find one online of them 2 and was able to print it so he could have a physical copy. He has put in his safe. I couldn't imagine being jealous of a deceased woman. She has nothing to do with their relationship now

I said with the new wife because his late wife is his past and he needs to make his current wife comfortable. Alternatively, his new wife could also keep photos of her ex relationships on her phone and let’s see how he feels about it.

This coming from a widow. If my partner had done that and erased pictures of my husband that passed, I would straight divorce him. That is a complete lack of respect. They would be gone.

Honestly, deleting the pictures of his late wife is like deleting ANY pictures of a deceased blood-related family member. That person is your family, a person you love. If my mom were to suddenly remarry and her new husband would demand all of my late father's photos thrown out, then I'd kick him down the stairs and tell the cops he tripped over my cats running down the stairs.

I think you can contact Apple to recover those photos and album, even if it was deleted from the cloud. I could be wrong though.
