No it really is that serious because even though I managed to lessen my HS nodule flares after losing weight I still struggle with HS related folliculitis baaaad and nothing I’ve tried seems to be helping 😭😭😭

cephalexin but the trick is to not allow body to get use to treatment…I suggest once you get relief don’t finish dose and take when flare happens…don’t use dial all the time in active areas unless actively healing…just water unless messy but even then just a water clean…the goal is to not clog pores soaps lotion oils etc so when lounging try to avoid irritation until needing to step out…surgery only closes and makes it go to other areas shower immediately after sweating no soap if you’ve already done soap for the day just a rinse…good luck

Yeah I did doxy for a few months bc my flare was so bad. And then I went in and she was like okay take this every day for the rest of your life. And I was like that can’t be the only option. And she got pissed at me and tried to tell me I didn’t know what I was talking about.

Please try gel antiperspirant with aluminum if you haven’t already! My aunts HS has cleared up significantly while using it!!
