@plutosdestiny: A single woodpecker strike can exceed the force that causes a human concussion by up to 10 times

brⱯdメ :

we have to be the most fragile creatures on earth bro

#darrysfirstspermcell!!111😛😼 :

fun fact!: woodpeckers wrap their tounge around their brain to protect themselves from concusions!

(¬_¬") 𝗦𝗜𝗠𝗢𝗡 𝗛. :

how much would a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood

Ian👾 :

why would they keep doing it if it hurts them

GENIUS🏀 :

is it immune to cte?

👑taft👑 :

If they got rabies

Criss_ :

how doesnt their beak break or get dull from doing that so much

fpvmadyn :

Doesn’t their tongue wrap around their skull to dampen the affects to their brain

ᵍᵘᵈᵈᵃᵐᵃᵏᵉᵗʰᵃᵗᵐᵒⁿᵉʸ :

see this why I don't go outside

༺ཐི𝓢𝔥𝔬𝔯𝔱𝔶𝓢𝔱𝔞𝓴𝔃ཋྀ༻ :

Plot twist: Bro signed up for cutting down trees and has 3 birdy mamas to take care of

🤑 :

Getting one shot by woodpeckers omd 😭

South Carolina Mapper :

Because the point of impact is so small

Dany :

cuz it have special thing on inside of it's head that stops it from brain damage

Miles :

Why do woodpeckers peck wood? Genuinely curious

Cassi :

before anyone sees this and immediately assumes they are pecking with the force to do this to a human. They aren't. they are simply swinging their own head fast enough to create a G force strong enough to give a human a concussion 10 times over. If a woodpecker hit a human, the strike wouldn't do much to us at all.

🦂ordinary.ben🙊 :

Woody the woodpecker upscale

bailey :

Woodpeckers + magpies💀

Love always 🌍💙 :

they just ain’t met me yet

️ :

This powerscales steve😭✌

giuse :

Flying Scotsman :

I swear we are weak

￴ ᴸ :

We are so vulnerable

max :

i wonder if a woodpecker ever craves ibuprofen for their headache

Barnedarmadillo :

Because they evolved to have a skull that protects the brain more and a less fragile brain

Peeta :

The wording is tripping me up. Is it saying that a woodpecker could give me a concussion in one peck?😂Or that a peck causes greater force to its own head than would cause a concussion in a human?
