Is it just me, or is it weird that Vaatu’s Avatar bends air? If I’m not mistaken, they should only be able to bend one element—either water or earth. My explanation: they should bend water because Unalaq was a waterbender when he fused with Vaatu. The argument for earthbending: I think they should bend earth because they ought to bend the element of the nation they were born into, which in this case would be the Earth Kingdom. The Avatar bends all four elements because four Lion Turtles gave Wan the ability to bend them, and Raava merely helped him master them one by one. Unalaq didn't go through that process, so a new Dark Avatar should only be able to bend one element, or strictly water. In my opinion—someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong—they shouldn't be able to bend air at all.

I think Vaatu has no connection with Nisha. I believe Pavi is the only Avatar and the reason Nisha can bend four elements is because of Pavi when they were children. I think Pavi accidentally gave her bending abilities like the lion turtles did without realizing it. And since Pavi doesn’t remember anything from the past I truly believe Pavi is the only Avatar. I also think Korra and Avatar Kuruk are connected to this story and we might see how Korra shaped the Seven Havens.

If that's the case then it's absurd for Vaatu's Avatar to be a master of 4 elements, because the previous avatar for Vaatu(Unalaq) was a single element bender so the incarnation of Vaatu should Either be a non bender or a bender with water bending as an extra bending because bending doesn't come from Raava or Vaatu but it was bestowed by the the Lion turtles the only thing that Raava did was to preserve the connection

well the dark you Avatar cycle ended when you know both avatar cycles were when the Avatar cycle was combined to the dark Avatar cycle when they were rebooted because of Cora you know the dark Avatar cycle and the Avatar cycle were able to restart which is what I'm guessing happened
