This one is honestly really hard for me to post. 🥹 My stomach has always been the part of my body I’ve felt the most vulnerable showing especially like this. The loose skin, the stretch marks, my C-section scar, the little shelf… all of it. I had an emergency C-section when I had my son, and my body changed in ways I wasn’t prepared for. Then after losing 75+ lbs, I was left with loose skin that doesn’t magically disappear when I stand a certain way or hit a certain number on the scale. And because I know I’ll get asked no, I haven’t had a tummy tuck. This is just my stomach. My loose skin is still there. It folds, it moves, it sits differently depending on how I’m standing, and for a long time I thought I needed to hide it. But there is absolutely nothing shameful about it. This body grew and birthed my child. It carried me through an emergency C-section, motherhood, weight gain, weight loss, and everything that came with completely changing my life. Diet and exercise have changed SO much for me, physically and mentally, but I think one of the biggest changes has been learning that progress doesn’t have to mean having a “perfect” stomach. So if you’re a mama looking at your mom belly wondering if you can still make progress you absolutely can. Your body might not look exactly like someone else’s, and it doesn’t have to. And if posting this makes even one mom feel a little less alone in her body today, then being this vulnerable was worth it. #MomBelly #PostpartumBody #LooseSkin #LooseSkinJourney #CSectionMom
