Disney is currently dealing with significant orthopedic injuries, including fractures involving the right ischium, acetabulum, and femoral head of the pelvis and hip joint. She will need an FHO (femoral head ostectomy) along with additional veterinary care that is beyond what the shelter is able to provide. Because of her medical concerns, Disney is at risk for euthanasia. She urgently needs a rescue, foster, or adopter who can provide the veterinary care, patience, and peaceful environment she needs to recover. Animal does limp on one of the rear legs heavily but capable of running. Animal bit catchpole on impound. 10/07 BAR. Growling on exam. Thin body condition score 3/9. Limping on the right rear leg.  Sedated with Dexdormitor (.5mg/ml) .7cc IM DX: Xray (RL & VD View Pelvis and both rear legs)=Fracture of the Ischium, acetabulum and femoral head on the right side of the pelvis.  P: Will need to have an FHO RX: Carprofen 75mg 1T SID 7 days RX: Gabapentin 100mg 2C BID 7 days Reversed sedation with Atipamezole (5mg/ml) .35cc IM Shelter Observations  10/07: Disney was observed lying in her kennel upon approach. She began snarling and growling when approached. An attempt was made to leash her and take her to the yard, but this was unsuccessful. Interaction was not continued, and no force was used. Disney was given space to avoid further stress.  10/07: Begin to growl when you open kennel is very alert when you come near the door. Playgroup Observation 10/09: This dog is timid, gives corrections when overwhelmed, keeps to self, and is person-oriented.
