@alanonai: Every time you open a new chat, you start by explaining your app to the AI. Stop doing that. I know. It feels responsible. You're giving it context. But look at what that paragraph actually is. It's a summary. From memory. Written by someone who's been thinking about other things for two days. You left out the retention rule. You forgot the login works differently than it used to. You said "uploads are working," and you haven't actually checked since Tuesday. And it comes out a little different every time. Monday's version tilts one way, Thursday's tilts another. Then the AI treats it as the truth. It's right there at the top of the conversation, in your own words. So stop explaining. Point it at the record. Your decision records. Your plan. A short status file that says where things stand. And the history of what actually changed. I keep one saved command. Every session, same five steps. Look at what changed recently. Read the status file. Read the plan only if you need it. Tell me what's been done. Recommend what's next. Then stop and wait for me. When you explain, the AI knows what you remember. When it reads, it knows what's actually there. And here's the part nobody expects. You stop being afraid of starting a new session. It costs one command. Series is called Build with AI. This article is "You Start Cold Every Time." Link's in comments. #ai #vibecoding #programming #coding #TikTokTechContest

Before you make anything use Obsidian, create a PRD document, have AI make a build plan, and then have it create a development path document that will check off what is done. and you can start as many section cause it will follow your path

Building an app for the first time with ChatGPT, I ended up with an architecture repo and a code repo in GitHub. The architecture repo is where all the documentation is: decisions, bugs, designs, etc. no code.

I haven’t read your article, but I have a question, when you want the model to absolutely not make any decisions regardless of anything, how would you enforce that? As in how do You plan before handing the documents to AI?
