I think whatever Korra did fractured Raava into two aspects of herself, justice and compassion. It will be like the 2 beings that debate when Ben turns into Alien X. One concerned with decisiveness and action, the other concerned with evasiveness and reaction. The reason that it's not Vatu is because the four elements were given by the lion turtles and Unalaq never gained them during his union with Vatu.

I feel like the plot twist is going to be that one has Raava and the other Vatu, that is how they both have 4 elements. The real plot twist though will be that Raava and Vatu never had an influence on the personality of the avatar. They always had the free will to do good or evil thus their choices were always their own.

the twins gives me the vibes of "If Korra and Aang lived in the same lifetime" Korra and Nisha for being isolated thus, in turn be naive about the world. Aang and Pavi for experiencing being the "only one left" and see and lived the effects of others decisions (plus they're both pacifist from what I can tell). I think the twins are weak when alone and stronger together. They need to learn from one another to solve this catalyst.

Remember, when Vaatu destroyed Raava, Korra managed to found her inside Vaatu. Cause light can not exist without dark, so as dark with light. So when Korra destroyed Vaatu, he is literally inside Raava. Then when Korra and Raava do the 2nd Harmonic Convergence to re-fuse. Vaatu actually fusing into Korra also, cause he is inside Raava. So i think Korra gone bad, cause Vaatu managed to exist inside Raava and want to control Korra, so Korra having 2 Spirits inside her caused this 2 reincanation. This is my observation.
