Start laughing at them. As a high school teacher, it’s what you have to do to snap them out of that, cause now it’s “why is she laughing at me?” They stop the bit because they don’t want to be laughed at, oddly it corrects the behaviors

My niece who was raised by her grandparents has zero social skills or manners. Her grandparents said it’s the school to teach them manners? Now she’s in high school and will struggle so much when she graduates.

normally the Gen z stare doesn't bother me but my baby smiled and waved at some teens in Starbucks the other day and they literally glared at her. really bothered me because they don't have to say hi or smile at her but they could have just looked away or ignored her, there was no need to glare like that

Yep, I got in an argument with a woman saying kids don’t need to give anybody respect they need to earn it. I said are you kidding me? Everyone deserves a little respect and decency this is how you function in a civilized world

I have roseaca and am very self conscious about my skin, was at dollar tree and I was having a rough time at the moment with my skin, this brat looked at me, loudly said mom why does her face look so red, and have bumps all over... everyone just stared and the mom smiled at him and touched his face. I wanted to go off but he was just kid, I loudly said to the mom that one day her kids are gonna say something to the wrong person and not like what happens. She hurried out the door. I was so mad 😠

It’s not just younger people it’s everyone. Ever since Covid people lost all forms of social etiquette or manners. I don’t move when I see this nonsense. I can’t read your mind I don’t know where you need to go or what you need to look at speak up say excuse me or whatever.

I make my 5 year old talk to everybody, I make her say thank you if someone holds the door for us, she tells the crossing guard thank you every morning at school, she knows how and when to say excuse me and she knows spatial awareness. parents just arent doing ANYTHING.

Personally love saying to unruly kids “do your parents know you are out by yourself?” And when the parent suddenly says something I respond with “oh sorry I assumed by the behavior they were unsupervised or unsocialized.”

Somewhere along the way, Gen Z decided that being an a-h was a form of empowerment. Theyve rebranded basic rudeness as “setting boundaries,” a lack of manners as “not owing anyone anything,” and being inconsiderate as “protecting your peace.” And before any of you reading this tell me you don’t care, that’s exactly the point. You’ve made not caring about how you treat other people something to be proud of. That’s not confidence, independence, or emotional maturity. It’s a complete lack of consideration for others, dressed up as a personality trait. You didn’t redefine respect. You just found a way to excuse being an a-h.

The oldest Gen Alpha was born in 2010 and is about 16 years old now. The Oldest Gen Z is 29/30 this year. I feel like Gen Z is getting a lot of slack for shit that has nothing to do with us 😭😭😭!!!
