When I got bullied at the first and only school dance I ever went to in 7th grade and my mom told me to suck it up and get over it. Maybe I just want my mom to hear me and support me. Some would think this is an outlier but it’s one of the lesser cruelties she’s shown me in life. Imagine your mother finding out her only daughter was groomed and molested by her ex boyfriend and her reaction is to call you a liar.
