If energy became entirely free and abundant, it would act as a massive economic productivity shock lowering the baseline cost of almost everything we make, move, and do. Manufacturing, shipping, and heating costs would drop sharply since energy is a core input for nearly all goods. Energy-intensive processes like water desalination, vertical farming, and recycling/material synthesis (pulling raw elements from waste or air) would suddenly become dirt cheap. Households spend a significant chunk of their income on utility bills and fuel; freeing up that cash would trigger a massive consumer spending boom in other areas of the economy.
