UNICEF menyebut beberapa tanda yang bisa digunakan untuk deteksi dini wasting pada balita, yaitu: 🦵 Tubuh terlihat sangat kurus ⚖️ BB turun, tidak naik, atau kenaikannya tidak cukup 💪 LiLA kecil pada usia 6–59 bulan 🦶 Bengkak pada kedua punggung kaki 🍽️ Nafsu makan menurun atau anak tidak mau makan/menyusu (UNICEF Global) Yang penting, jangan menilai wasting hanya dari bentuk kaki atau telapak kaki. Penilaian dilakukan dengan pengukuran seperti berat badan, tinggi/panjang badan, LiLA, serta pemeriksaan edema bilateral. (UNICEF Global) 👉 Jadi kalau Bunda melihat anak makin kurus + BB sulit naik, jangan menunggu sampai kondisinya semakin berat.
