When I was a couple of months into veganism, I tried to be a perfect vegan. It was so unattainable for me to be a perfect vegan in my small town, I ended up giving up. A couple of months later, I decided to go vegan again, but I wouldn't hold myself to an impossible standard. I've been vegan for over six years now. I don't count my first and failed attempt at veganism. Sometimes you just have to do the best you can and not beat yourself up if perfection just isn't possible for you.
