@etpw44: 💔 I DON’T EVEN HAVE THE WORDS FOR THIS… Two little girls in South Carolina deserved so much more. Emory Deacon was just 2 years old. Her little sister, Harlow Deacon, was only 15 months old. According to the latest information from the Charleston County Coroner, these precious little sisters had likely been gone for 3 to 5 days before they were discovered. Their deaths have been attributed to starvation and dehydration caused by neglect, and their deaths have been ruled homicides. But what makes this even harder to understand is that authorities had reportedly been called to the home 13 times between August and September, including multiple welfare checks. Thirteen times. 💔 These were babies. They couldn’t call for help. They couldn’t walk away. They couldn’t tell someone what was happening to them. They depended completely on the adults around them to protect them. And somehow, two little girls ended up dying alone. I keep thinking about how small they were… and how desperately they needed someone to notice, someone to intervene, someone to protect them. Emory and Harlow deserved a childhood. They deserved love. They deserved to be safe. They deserved to grow up. Their little lives mattered. Their names matter. And their story should not be forgotten. 🚨 PLEASE — IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING. If you have a genuine concern that a child is being abused, neglected, left unsafe, or isn’t receiving the care they need, don’t assume someone else will make the call. You could be the person who makes the difference. If a child is in immediate danger, call 911. For suspected child abuse or neglect, contact your state’s child protective services or child abuse reporting hotline. You don’t have to investigate it yourself. You just have to speak up.
