@dershpiel: Jewish billionaire Alex Karp’s Palantir is fighting back against British pressure over its work with Israel’s military, as politicians and unions push to end major government contracts with the company. In comments reported Friday, senior executive Tom Watson said Palantir had been targeted because of its work in Israel and warned that “mob rule” should not decide who gets government contracts. The pressure includes a £330 million deal supplying software to Britain’s National Health Service. Palantir is also fighting London Mayor Sadiq Khan in court over a blocked £50 million police contract, arguing that politics influenced the decision; the mayor’s office says procurement rules were not followed. The company has previously said it is proud to support Israeli defense and national security missions.
