The only people who should actually care about audio book vs physically reading are teachers who are specially working on kids’ ability to read. I’m not sure why everyone else is so worried about audiobooks vs reading

No sorry thats just not a thing you guys are wrong. Audiobooks arent reading. Youre still enjoying the book the same as someone reading but you are not READING. Listening to something is not reading i dont know what you guys are talking about.

It’s not reading, it’s listening. That said the book still gets consumed and has the same benefits. I prefer audiobooks because I can multitask and take a walk or clean something that uses energy but not concentration.

You know what I can't do while reading a physical book; drive my car, fold laundry, clean the kitchen, pretty much everything I need to do during the day. I was so against audio books for so long but then life got busy with 3 kids and I didn't have the time to sit down and read a physical book so I didn't read. Now I listen to books and get things done.

That’s a hill I will die on. Listening to a book cannot be classified as having read a book. When someone reads, they give that book and the words the full attention it deserves. When someone listens they typically are dividing attention with another task (driving, cleaning, laundry)
