@bannonswarroom.us: Mike Ditka, the legendary Chicago Bears coach who led the team to its only Super Bowl victory, has d*ed at 86. His family announced the heartbreaking news on Friday, October 9, 2026. For millions of football fans, Ditka was more than a coach. He was the face of one of the greatest teams in NFL history. In 1985, Ditka led the Bears to a remarkable 15-1 regular-season record. The team then defeated the New England Patriots 46-10 in Super Bowl XX, creating a moment that Chicago fans would never forget. But his story began long before that championship. Born in Carnegie, Pennsylvania, in 1939, Ditka was drafted by the Bears in 1961. He became a star player, earned a place in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and later won Super Bowl titles with the Dallas Cowboys as both a player and an assistant coach. His career also included broadcasting, business ventures, and coaching the New Orleans Saints. Away from the spotlight, he founded the Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund to help former players facing financial hardship. Known for his fiery personality and blunt words, Ditka never tried to be someone else. His family remembered him not simply as a football legend, but as a beloved husband, father, and grandfather who was the heart of their family. Football gave Mike Ditka fame, but his legacy will live on through the players he guided, the fans he inspired, and the city he helped bring together. Some legends leave behind trophies. Others leave behind memories that never fade. What is your favorite memory of Coach Ditka? #MikeDitka #ChicagoBears #NFL #FootballLegend #SportsNews
