People saying you’re doing too much have never experienced a hurricane before. Better safe than sorry.

These comments are killing me. A whole generation of us drank out of a water hose and didn’t die. In an emergency water is essential to survival and y’all talking about I only drink distilled. I fear we lost the plot

I’m bad at math, but that’s 15 gallon servings of water to your 10 people. That’s 15 days of water, which humans need to survive more than food. Don’t let anybody say anything to you in these comments. That’s preparation for desperation, and those are the times we are amidst in the states.

Water treatment plants can get flooded. Pumps go down, water gets contaminated. This is prudent planning.

We lost power and the water pipes burst after Helene when a tree went down and roots ripped through pipes. Went days without water and weeks without power - & no way to boil the water once it was back bc didn’t have a gas stove. This is a harmless & great way to prep, especially given she has kiddos (plus herself and spouse)!

Quezon Province Municipalities and Cities. Language used: Tagalog language. Trivia: Quezon, stretching along the eastern corridor of Southern Luzon in the CALABARZON region, is celebrated as the "Coconut Capital of the Philippines" and the "Land of Pahiyas," famous for its long coastal geography, vibrant festivals, and culinary heritage. History, Name & Geography: * Formerly Known as Tayabas: The province was originally named Tayabas during the Spanish colonial era, with the town of Tayabas serving as its historic capital. In 1946, Republic Act No. 14 renamed the province in honor of Manuel L. Quezon, the first president of the Philippine Commonwealth, who hailed from the coastal town of Baler (which was part of Tayabas before being organized into Aurora province). * Elongated Landmass: Quezon has one of the most uniquely elongated geographic shapes in the country, stretching over 300 kilometers along Luzon's eastern seaboard—bordering Aurora to the north, Camarines Norte and Camarines Sur to the east, and Batangas, Laguna, and Rizal to the west. * Independent Capital City: Lucena City serves as the administrative capital of Quezon, operating as a highly urbanized city (HUC) independent from provincial jurisdiction. Agricultural Powerhouse & Cultural Heritage: * Coconut Capital: Quezon leads the nation in agricultural coconut production and copra yield, surrounded by vast plantations that support local industries producing coconut oil, desiccated coconut, and traditional coconut sap liquor (lambanog). * Pahiyas Festival: Held every May 15 in Lucban in honor of San Isidro Labrador (patron saint of farmers), residents adorn their houses with colorful kiping—leaf-shaped wafers made from steamed rice paste—alongside fresh agricultural produce and flowers. * Tayabas Basilica (Minor Basilica of St. Michael the Archangel): One of the longest Spanish-colonial churches in the country, featuring an 103-meter-long nave and an iconic keyhole-shaped layout, designated as a National Cultural Treasure. Natural Wonders & Eco-Tourism: * Mount Banahaw: A massive 2,158-meter active complex volcano shared between Quezon and Laguna, revered by local religious sects (Rizalistas) as a sacred mountain (bundok dambana) and popular among mountaineers for its dense biodiversity. * Jomalig & Polillo Islands: Located across the Lamon Bay in the Philippine Sea, the Polillo Group of Islands—including remote Jomalig Island—features golden-red beaches (Salibungot Beach), pristine sandbars, and untouched coastal ecosystems. * Villa Escudero & Cagbalete Island: Famous heritage spots include Villa Escudero in Tiaong (known for its waterfall restaurant) and Cagbalete Island in Mauban, celebrated for its expansive low-tide sand ripples. Culinary Specialties: * Lucban Longganisa: A garlic-heavy, sour-savory pork sausage seasoned with oregano and local spices, traditionally paired with vinegar. * Pancit Habhab: A fried noodle dish served on a banana leaf and eaten directly without utensils (habhab style), drizzled with local coconut vinegar. * Lambanog of Tayabas: Pure distilled coconut nectar liquor containing high alcohol content (around 80–90 proof), traditionally produced in wood-fired stills across Tayabas and Candelaria. #QuezonProvince #Fyp #Tagaloglanguage #PHgeography #tiktokphilippines🇵🇭
