@gossip_overcoffee: The wait for another chapter of Crazy Rich Asians has finally brought a major update. On October 8, 2026, HBO announced an eight-episode, hourlong drama series that will continue the story after the events of the 2018 film. Several familiar faces are returning: Constance Wu, Henry Golding and Ronny Chieng will be series regulars, while Michelle Yeoh will reprise her role in a recurring capacity. Adele Lim, who co-wrote the original movie, will serve as showrunner. Jon M. Chu and author Kevin Kwan are also returning as executive producers, bringing members of the original creative team back together. For anyone who loved Rachel and Nick’s story, the family tensions and the world of Kevin Kwan’s novels, the series format creates room to explore that next chapter across multiple episodes. The project has received a series order, but a premiere date has not been announced. For now, the reunion and the eight-episode format are the confirmed news worth celebrating. Coffee question: whose storyline are you most excited to revisit—Rachel, Nick, Eleanor or Eddie? ☕💛 Sources: HBO’s announcement and ABC News.
