Not sarcasm at all - the phrase “I think I’m exposure therapy-ing you guys, an empty ish fridge is not going to hurt you” made me think! As someone who grew up with a lot of food insecurity, it’s for sure a fear of mine but you’re right! Food for thought for me. Or I guess… absence of some food for thought for me lol

You are my hero. I spend at least $700-$800 month for 3 people. My muscle man husband eats 3 pound of chicken sometimes in one sitting. It’s hard to feed him and my 12 year old boy. I keep trying to make it less 😩

I don’t know why people get so upset about what you do in your own home. Some things you do wouldn’t work for our family…so I don’t do it 🤷♀️I still enjoy learning how you manage your meals. You’ve given me plenty of ideas that I’ve molded to fit my own needs.

you could portion the beans into servings, and then freeze them individually, and use them as needed. Baked beans would blend nicely into that aldi pulled pork

Have you ever tried baked bean potatoes? I slice my potatoes and layer them in a baking dish with baked beans and some cheese. its pretty good and super filling!

As I am trying to get myself to only shopping once a month and shopping my pantry first, with as much as you have in your canned food and freezer and fresh veggies, other than the flour and brown sugar, why do you still shop this month rather than empty out what you have? Serious question as I am trying to learn

For the baked beans, have you ever made a vegetarian “meat” loaf? Crumbs, the beans, egg or binder, mix, bake. They freeze. The baked beans would have all the flavors needed.
