You do realize if Ichigo really fought for the soul society he would’ve never fought byakuya and broke into the soul society. The entire reason Old Man Zangetsu didn’t want Ichigo to fight like a soul reaper and repressed his powers was so he never had to fight for the soul society. While also constantly facing threats that affect HIM. He fights Yhwach because he was gonna destroy all 3 realms, he fights Aizen, Grimmjow, and Ulquorria since they had Orihime captive and Aizen was gonna destroy Karakura. He couldn’t care less about the soul society other then the fact that Rukia, Byakuya, and Renji are there.

the soul society is bad. the other factions would destroy the earth. Quincies destroy the souls of hollows instead of purifying them, creating an imbalance in the universe that would destroy all the realms. Hollows that stay in Hueco Mundo are chill, but the ones that enter the human world devour souls. Yes, the Soul Society sucks, but do you have a replacement system for them?

I always assumed that was kinda the point, like both Aizen and Yhwach hated the system but never really had an actual replacement for it, the Soul Society may be inherently corrupt, but, it works for what it sets out to do. Honestly I respect Kubo for making such an incredibly anti-tradition story

1. Ichigo doesn’t fight for soul society 2. The soul society is not a ethnostate by any definition that would be like saying military bases are ethnostates because no one can just freely roam them 3. They don’t force shit they aren’t enforcers they are only there to keep the cycle of souls in check 4. There is literally no other option to fight for 5. “Genocides on a whim” is just being intentionally dense the Quincy war happened because of yhwach doing the same shit and the subsequent genocide happened because Quincy’s were quite literally going to cause the destruction of the universe and refused to stop

Holy Larp. Ichigo does not fight FOR anybody. He helps soul reapers, hollows, Fullbringers and quincies. He doesn’t have anything to do with the way the sereitei is. Also you larpers clearly didn’t understand how the soul society works in regard to the Seireitei and rukongai. Only the very farthest reaches of the rukongai are extremely poor. We just happen to see many characters from there, Rukia, Renji, Kenpachi etc. the soul society has “class” stratification like the real world, where a vast majority are in a “middle class”

It’s because there’s no other option they explained this in episode 1. When a human soul dies, if not exorcised that soul will turn into a hollow, and start feeding on other souls. The soul society isn’t the best but aye what else you got heuco mundo?
