as a parent of 3 kids with an IEP and a 504 plain, what they did was illegal. if it was written down and agreed upon that he is not supposed to sign anything without you and then made to is illegal.

504 plans have to be followed it’s an actual law! Call the district immediately and let them know they are not following his 504 plan and you will be escalating

Family school based therapist here- If your kid has issues that warrant a 504, do you consider how your reactivity impacts what he’s already struggling with? You can still be right and advocate for him while keeping yourself regulated. Please remember he’s watching you and your his role model. Do you want him to manage his stress the way you do or better? Please practice putting your kid first and your emotions second. When we lose our ability to be regulated we lose our ability to be logical, and we lose our ability to parent the best way we can
