Silent countdown with fingers in the air, just holding one finger up in front of me, or hands on head followed by a swift countdown. If we’re having a good day, I just need to say “okay” and I’ll have them 😂

I work in year 1, when they’re being noisy I say ‘waterfall’ and the children with wave their hands down and say ‘shhhhhhhhhhh’. Works a treat

It really depends on the class and what behaviour management is already in place by the school. None of these would be acceptable for the methods used by my school. But still an interesting watch!

Hands on head, hands on shoulders, fingers on mouth, hands on desk…I also do this silently too! Clapping is saved when I need immediate attention
