Sir, I completely agree with you, but I also believe that today’s Gen Z, despite being the most socially connected generation through social media, AI, and technology, has become increasingly selfish and materialistic. True friendships were more common in simpler times when technology and social media did not exist. Throughout my school, college, university, and professional life, I have realized that most people stay friends with you only as long as they benefit from you, whether they need academic help, assignments, attendance, financial support, or professional favors. The moment you say no or can no longer benefit them, the friendship fades away. Today, our friend lists and followers are full, yet genuine friendships are rare. We may be socially connected to hundreds of people, but deep down, many of us are lonely. This is the bitter reality of our society.
