@fox26houston: The South African jurist Navi Pillay could hardly believe it when she was told she’d won the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize. Video from Agnes Callamard, Secretary General of Amnesty International, shows Pillay’s reaction to the news. “If you clap a little bit more, I may share this prize with Trump,” she joked. The Nobel committee said the prize was for Pillay’s “efforts to promote peace and international law.” Pillay headed up a UN investigation that concluded that Israel committed genocide in Gaza. Israel’s Foreign Ministry said, “If there were an award for lies, hatred, and blood libels, Navi Pillay wouldn’t just be a contender. She’d be a frontrunner.”
